Over the next six weeks, our team will be working extremely hard to design and build a robot for this year’s FRC game. Update videos for our team will be posted weekly to track the progress of our mechanical, business, and outreach departments. This year also marks our ten year anniversary and we’re excited to be attending the Lake Superior Reigonal in Duluth again this February. Even as an older team, we will face many new challenges as we try to add fuel to the boilers and deliver gears to the airship in only two minutes and thirty seconds!

2016 FTC Qualifier http://www.crimsonrobotics.com/2016-ftc-qualifier/ Tue, 13 Dec 2016 06:09:59 +0000 http://www.crimsonrobotics.com/?p=3357 On Sunday Dec. 4th 2016, all five of our rookie FTC teams packed up their finished robots and headed to Columbia Academy in Columbia Heights to compete for the first time. This year we decided against having one large FTC team with a larger budget because we wanted everyone on Team 2526 to have the opportunity to learn and develop skills they otherwise wouldn’t. At competition, we brought our Crimson Pride and had far more participants than other school there. By the end of the tournament, all of our teams had performed very well. Team E placed in the top ten robots and Team C received the Connect Award for their outreach efforts in the community. Congratulations to everyone on Team 2526 who participated in FTC, you all did extremely well!

2016 Lake Superior Chairman’s Award http://www.crimsonrobotics.com/2016-lake-superior-chairmans-award/ Sun, 06 Mar 2016 06:41:11 +0000 http://www.crimsonrobotics.com/?p=3114 Crimson Robotics takes pride in our community and tirelessly work to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.

We were very honored to have received the Regional Chairman’s Award at the 2016 Lake Superior Regional, but we won’t stop here. The award motivates us to do better, reach further, and continue down the path of our 5 year plan for “Robotics in Every School, Every Grade, for Every Child in ISD 279”.

Here is our Chairman’s Award Video. We are very proud of our accomplishments in the community and hope this award can serve as a catalyst for further STEM outreach in the further.

Without the amazing support of our Community, our Mentors, Teachers, Coaches and Parents, we would never have been able to run the programs with such success. So on behalf of the entire team, Thank You. We can’t wait to see all the great robots in Saint Louis this year!

Cub Scouts Event With The Green Machine! http://www.crimsonrobotics.com/cub-scouts-event-in-collaboration-with-the-green-machine/ Wed, 20 Jan 2016 02:04:53 +0000 http://www.crimsonrobotics.com/?p=3018 On December 15th, 2015 our team had the honor to go to Cub Scout Pack 211’s meeting with Edina’s robotics team, “The Green Machine”. We brought our FRC and VEX robots, and the evening was a huge success. We showed the boys what they can accomplish through engineering with our massive FRC robot, which towered over them. We also let the boys drive the VEX robots and interact with our team members to answer questions and create a fun and exciting atmosphere. In addition to their FRC robot, The Green Machine brought engineering challenges to engage the boys with hands-on activities. Thank you Green Machine and Pack 211 for allowing us this opportunity to help inspire the next generation of STEM students!
