Everybody has to be able to participate in a future that they want to live for. That’s what technology can do.

– Dean Kamen, Founder

The FIRST Robotics Competition was created in 1989 to raise interest in technology, science, and problem-solving amongst young people, nationwide.

FIRST‘s founder, Dean Kamen prides himself on innovation, as well as creating a better future for all.  He believes that it is of the utmost importance to create a future which we will not only be able to live in, but one we will want to live in.

FRC presents challenges which must be overcome each year.  These challenges highlight possibilities because they’re given to us in such a way that lets our minds run wild.  Each team is allowed to (with some exceptions) build anything they can dream of in order to overcome these obstacles.
